1. Building pieces
Enter a quantity under each tier. Foundations, walls and stairs are full blocks; doorways and windows cost 70% of a full block; floors/ceilings, roofs, ramps and triangle foundations cost about half; triangle floors are a quarter. Twig is what a block costs to place — upgrading then charges the full grade on top.

Build cost
Daily upkeep
Upkeep is what your Tool Cupboard burns per day — the exact figure above, not an estimate. Rust charges ONE blended rate across the whole base: the first 15 building blocks cost 10% of their build cost a day, the next 50 cost 15%, the next 125 cost 20% and everything beyond that 33.3%, so the rate climbs as the base grows. Doors and window/floor inserts pay that same rate; high external walls and gates pay a flat 20% instead; and deployables — boxes, furnaces, turrets, the cupboard itself — cost nothing to maintain.
Raid cost
Raid cost is the rockets to destroy every piece (a high-end upper bound — a real raid only breaches a path). For the cheapest method per wall, see the raid cost calculator. Building and raiding get rebalanced most wipes; numbers are a close guide (RustLabs, 2026), not gospel.
